Hi I am Jess!
Kids call me Ms. Jess.
I am so excited to be back at Fireside again this year! I have been teaching preschool for over 15 years, and this will be my fourth year teaching Enrichment in the district. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of each child's growth and learning journey. Watching children discover the world through their eyes is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and it's a big reason why I love teaching.
I look forward to getting to know all of the children and their families and partnering with you throughout the school year.
When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me around town spending time with my three children: Lylah, who is almost 15 and a Sophmore at Monarch High School; Jack, who is 12 and a seventh grader at LMS; and my youngest, Grace, who is 2 years old. We love being part of this community, and I can't wait for a wonderful year together!
I’m so excited to begin my third year at Fireside as part of the preschool enrichment team!
Children are the future, and I feel honored to support their growth and curiosity each day.
I bring experience teaching children ages 3–12 in Japan, and I am also a proud parent of four wonderful children (ages 12, 10, 9, and 7). My experiences as both a teacher and a parent have shown me that strong connections between home and school are essential. I strive to build a community based on honesty, respect, and shared commitment to each child’s success. I want each child to feel secure, respected, and encouraged to try new things.
I also look forward to introducing Japanese culture to our preschoolers—through crafts, cooking, and Japanese calligraphy—so they can explore and celebrate diversity in fun and meaningful ways.
I can’t wait to get to know each child and family and to work together to make this a joyful and memorable year!
