KPI's

The following are the Key Performance Indicators for BVSD Energy. Cost is not a KPI due to utility rate increases, inflation, and natural gas market volitility.

1. Weather-normalized Fiscal Year average district Energy Use Intensity (EUI) will maintain or decrease annually (kBTU/sf/year).

2. Weather-normalized Fiscal Year electricity kWh consumption will maintain or decrease annually (kWh/sf/TDD).

3. Weather-normalized Fiscal Year natural gas use will maintain or decrease annually (BTU/sf/TDD).

4. Weather-normalized Fiscal Year energy use will maintain or decrease annually (BTU/sf/TDD).

Note for the KPI graphs below:

2020 data is abnormally low due to district building COVID-19 shut-downs, which lasted for several months. Data for 2021 is higher than anticipated due to the district's covid protocols: Maximized ventilation rates to dilute indoor air required more natural gas use to heat fresh winter outdoor air.
