*Headphone jacks will not be repaired and you need to order an adapter linked here.
**BVSD accounts only
1. Make sure the Chromebook is plugged into a known good power supply and different power supply and power cords have all been tested. Remember to attempt to charge for 30 minutes to confirm the issue.
2. Check for updates (instructions here).
3. Hard Reboot - this step will generally fix wireless and performance issues.
Turn off your Chromebook
Press and hold Refresh + tap Power
4. If # 2 or 3 does not work, try a Restore.
Press Esc + refresh (circle with arrow a couple keys to the right) + Power and release. You will see a message which says "Please insert a recovery USB stick or SD card ".
Press Ctrl + D, then Enter to “Turn OS verification off”.
A red exclamation point is displayed. Press Enter to “turn OS verification” back on.
Press the space bar if prompted.
The Chromebook will reboot.
At the Welcome! Screen, click Let’s go.
Connect to your WiFi network, At the Google OS terms screen, click Accept and continue.
If asked to “Enroll”, enter your BVSD user name (jane.smith@bvsd.org)and password.
Enrolled Successfully! Click DONE.
Enter your BVSD credentials to log into the Chromebook.
