The Bow Valley Riding Association was created in 1966 on land that had previously been a private horse lease. It was created as an affordable place for Bow Valley residents to keep their horses close to home.
Today, we are an association of passionate horse enthusiasts, representing all disciplines, who recreate, explore, and enjoy life with horses in the mountains. The club is comprised of 34 privately-held paddocks, 3 arenas, a clubhouse, and access to many trails around the Canmore area.
The club is a non-profit, membership based club. We are run by a board of directors, and we have both voting memberships and associate memberships to accommodate horse owners and riders. If you are interested in joining the BVRA, reach out, here, to see if there are any paddocks available to purchase. All paddocks are transferred to qualified members on a first come, first served basis through our waitlist procedures.
