I am is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work at Christ University, Bangalore, where he is engaged in advanced research with a particular interest in psychiatric social work and counselling. He serves as an academic and field practitioner, committed to mental health advocacy, social development, and human resource interventions within medical and community settings.
 Previously, Atul earned his Master of Social Work (MA) degree, where he graduated with distinction and secured the second rank in his class. His undergraduate studies were in Commerce with a specialisation in Office Management from Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha, under Mahatma Gandhi University.
His academic journey is complemented by a broad spectrum of practical training and internships at reputed institutions such as Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi; St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore; Aram Psychiatric Hospital, Tiruchirappalli; Mount Zion Medical College, and St. Vincent Hospital. These placements have enriched his experience in psychiatric social work, medical social work, and counseling across diverse populations.
He has actively participated in national and international workshops and conferences organized by institutions such as the AIIMS, Delhi; Madras School of Social Work; Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; and Commonwealth Organization for Social Work, Geneva. His exposure to topics such as ecological sustainability, global trends in mental health, and international aid organizations reflects his engagement with contemporary global issues in social work.
Among his notable achievements, Atul was the college topper during his MSW and holds a certificate of excellence in NGO management. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is a decorated athlete with over 40 medals in various school-level sporting events and has also been recognized for his cultural talents in singing.
He is proficient in Janmovi, Microsoft Office tools, and data analysis techniques, which support his research endeavors. His areas of interest lie in human resources, counseling, and mental health support systems.
