Hello BVCS Preschool Families:

This week we have been learning about the life of Moses. We visited baby Moses in the river Nile where his mother hid him and the princess of Egypt found him and raised him in the palace.  We learned about how the evil King Pharaoh mistreated the people from Moses’ homeland and how God spoke to Moses from a bush that was on fire. God told him he was going to work through Moses to deliver His people from the hard life they were living. God did amazing things through Moses and his staff. Our favorite part was when God told Moses to hold up his staff so He could part the Red Sea and make a path for the people to walk through. Moses obeyed and the people were saved. We even did an experiment to show water parting!

Willie the Word Bird taught us the word “OBEDIENCE,” which means to do what God asks of us, or our parents ask of us or our teachers ask of us. Obey means we follow the rules and we don't just do whatever we want.

Take this week to ask your children about this story, and take time to discuss obedience.
