Senior Year Overview

Class of 2027

Welcome to your SENIOR YEAR! We wanted to give you as much information as we currently have regarding senior events, due dates, and expenses.

September 9 Jostens meeting w/Seniors at lunch in Gym to discuss cap and gown.

September 11 Movie Under the Stars - After the home football game - $25 (without ASB)

September 16 Senior Trip meeting w/Seniors at lunch in Gym to discuss Senior Trip

September 20 $225 non-refundable deposit for Senior Trip due to secure a space

The cost of the Senior Trip will be approximately $725. Students and guardians will have received information regarding all aspects of the trip to consider & sign at the 9/15 meeting.

October 5-9 Fall Homecoming Week 

October 7 Powder Puff Football - 6:00pm

All grades will compete back to back in one night for the title! The competition is fierce! Who will claim this year’s victory in the Powder Puff Football?!

October 16 Senior pictures due to Mrs. J. Ward for yearbook

Email a digital copy to jackiew@bvcs.org or bring in a hard copy to be scanned to the front office for Mrs. J. Ward. The picture should be from the waist up, with boys in a dress shirt and tie and girls in a dressy outfit (please stay within the dress code). There are no restrictions on your choice of photographer.

October 31 Fall Social Event - Bowling - Approximately $35 (without ASB)

October 31 $100 2nd installment due for Senior Trip

Early November Cap & Gown - Approximately $35

You will be getting more information about this, but typically, if you get your order in during this time, the cost is half of what it will be later in the year.  If you want, you may also order announcements, class rings, etc., during this time.

December 5 $100  3rd Installment due for Senior Trip 

January 31 $100  4th Installment due for Senior Trip

January 30 Senior Ads due to Mrs. J. Ward for yearbook

February 1-5 Winter Homecoming Week 

February 6 Winter Formal 

Winter Formal will be hosted at The Century (Downtown Modesto). Cost is approximately $90.00

February 27 $100 5th installment due for Senior Trip 

March 20 $100 (potential) installment due for Senior Trip

April 24 Junior-Senior Banquet - Approximately $90

May 1 Submit college acceptances, military commitments, trade school & future 

career plan for Senior Snapshot

May 19-20 Senior Finals 

Seniors will not have to take a second semester final if they have a 92% or better in the class. 

May 21 10:30 am Senior Commissioning Chapel 

The Grad Parade will follow right after chapel. All parents are strongly encouraged to attend this event. You don’t want to miss out! 

May 24-27 Senior Trip

Disneyland / California Adventure, the beach, food, and fun.  

May 28 8:45 a.m. Senior Breakfast and Academic Awards Breakfast in the Venue

Seniors and parents are invited (no cost) to a breakfast hosted by the junior class where we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2027.

Graduation Practice directly following Awards Breakfast.

7:00 p.m. Graduation in the Worship Center

Come one and all to celebrate the BVCS Class of 2027.  This event is hosted at the Big Valley Grace Community Church Worship Center.  No tickets are required.
