Dear BVCS Families,
September has been a month of laying foundations — in classrooms, chapels, and partnerships with families — and now it all comes together as we wrap up Homecoming Week. From day one, we have been focused on Building Something Great, and this month we have seen how God has guided our steps (Proverbs 3:5–6) and how our community has encouraged one another in faith (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Back to School Nights & Student Success Team meetings strengthened the parent-teacher partnership, creating momentum for student growth.
See You at the Pole drew record attendance, a reminder of our Christ-centered foundation.
Elementary, Junior High, and High School each marked academic excellence — with national-level MAP growth in elementary, upward momentum in junior high, and college- and career-readiness on display in high school.
Alumni connections deepened with panels, life updates, and return visits, reminding us that the BVCS family extends far beyond graduation.
Our Board and staff celebrated new faculty and a strong financial start, while strengthened chapel safety measures affirmed our commitment to care for every student. Each step this month has pointed us toward what’s ahead: a vibrant, faith-filled community that grows stronger together.
And now — it’s time to celebrate that community. Homecoming is here! With blue and gold pride, student events, alumni gatherings, and our Friday night game, Homecoming is the perfect picture of what we’ve been building all month: a place where students are known, families are connected, alumni are welcomed back, and Christ is at the center of it all.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Thank you for your prayers, your presence, and your partnership as we build futures and live the BVCS Difference together.
With gratitude,
Bobby Kirchner, Superintendent
Michelle Mott, Assistant Superintendent
This August and September, 52 individuals and families gave generously to support Christ-centered education at BVCS. These gifts came from current parents, alumni parents, staff, board members, and grandparents — showing how wide and deep the BVCS family runs.
Here’s what that looked like:
Many families gave as regular givers, forming the foundation of support.
Others became recurring donors, investing month after month and providing stability for our school’s future.
Alumni parents continue to invest long after their children have graduated — a powerful testimony of BVCS’s lasting impact.
Staff, board members, and grandparents joined in to strengthen the mission.
Two BVG families blessed BVCS with extraordinary gifts of $10,000 and $15,000.
Every gift matters — big or small. Together, our community is building something great and making an eternal impact in the lives of students. 💙💛

Big Valley Christian School is seeking to fill two part-time positions:
Campus Support Team Member to serve our junior high and high school campus. This essential role helps ensure that our facilities, learning environments, and athletic spaces are safe, functional, and ready to support students and staff each day.
From athletic set-up, classroom set-up, and light facility maintenance, this hands-on position is ideal for someone who is proactive, enjoys teens, and is eager to serve behind the scenes. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can handle a variety of tasks, and—above all—demonstrates a vibrant, growing walk with Christ.
Our Preschool program is filling fast — praise God for the many new families joining BVCS! To keep up with growth, we are looking to hire an additional staff member who has 12 Early Childhood Education units.
If you or someone you know is interested, please contact [Preschool Director’s Name/Email/Phone] for more information. Help us spread the word so we can continue to provide excellent, Christ-centered care for our littlest Lions!

From October 6–24, we’re collecting new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, and gloves of all sizes to bless the Modesto Gospel Mission. Let’s come together as a school family to keep our community warm this winter!
A BVCS TRADITION
We’re excited to invite you to one of our favorite traditions—our annual golf tournament at Spring Creek Country Club on Monday, October 27, 2025. This special day brings together parents, staff, alumni, and friends of BVCS for fun on the course, great fellowship, and a shared purpose: supporting our students.
All proceeds benefit the BVCS Impact Fund, which strengthens five key areas of excellence—Academics, Innovation & Safety, Staff, Athletics & Theatre Arts, and Tuition Assistance. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just enjoy the community spirit, this is a fantastic way to be part of the BVCS Difference while having a memorable day.
