The Piedmont Middle School Counseling Department strives to promote an equitable and inclusive school environment which helps prepare students for their futures. We are committed to helping each student achieve their potential and interests by working with pupils, parents, faculty, and staff to meet the students' academic and social-emotional needs.
What we Do
What we Do
School Counselors promote school wide success in many ways, including but not limited to:
Assisting students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities
Assisting in the development and achievement of short and long-term goals
Collaborating with students, parents, and teachers to identify and remove barriers to learning
Delivering classroom guidance lessons that teach skills such as achieving academic success, healthy decision making, resolving conflicts, etc.
