BURWELL LONGHORNS

I graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor's degree in K-8 Education with a Coaching Endorsement. I taught physical education at a private school for 3 years before joining the WSC Admission’s team for a year.  My job as an Admission’s Specialist provided me with an opportunity to assist high school students in the college selection process and work with transfer students.  During that year, my third child was born and I made a decision to resign from my position to raise my family and support my husband, Steve’s, professional goals.

In 2009, I resumed my teaching career and taught 1st grade reading for three years in Sargent, NE.  In 2012, I accepted a teaching position at Burwell Public Schools and taught Jr. High Language Arts and FAME (Reading Intervention) for four years.  In 2016, a full-time teaching opportunity arose in the elementary school where I became a “floater” teacher for grades 4-6.  In 2020, I was assigned to the 4th grade classroom.  I have been teaching 4th grade since.  The experiences, relationships, and opportunities each position has provided me with are invaluable.

Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child.
