Services Offered
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd offer mobile pet care services, visiting animals at the owner’s property, namely: Cat Visits, Dog Walking, and Small Animal Care. We do not offer animal boarding services, and we will not visit dogs that have been left unaccompanied in a property overnight.
Business Operating Hours
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd operates Monday to Sunday 06:00 to 20:00
• Morning Cat & Pet Visits are available every day between 06:00 and 10:00
• Lunchtime Dog Walking is available weekdays between 10:00 and 14:00
• Evening Cat & Pet Visits are available every day between 16:00 and 20:00
We endeavour to meet these timeslots to the best of our ability, but we may sometimes be delayed by weather or traffic conditions, and occasionally an unexpected emergency relating to another customer’s pet or property. We will always send a message if we are delayed.

Bookings, Amendments & Cancellations
To make, amend or cancel a booking customers can call, message or email. Registered customers can also do this online at www.burtonpets.com (24 hours notice is required if using the online portal). Cancellation charges may apply if 24 hours notice to cancel is not given. If you are not a registered customer, you will need to contact the business, we will only register customers for access to the online portal, after we’ve met the owner and pet, discussed the owner’s requirements, and deemed the services we offer as suitable for the pet.
Business Closure - Holidays
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd is closed when the business owner is on holiday, these dates are published annually on the website: www.burtonpets.com.
Electronic Diary System & GPS Tracking
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd use an electronic diary system with GPS tracking. Customer’s should receive automated alerts by text and/or email each time we visit their pet, and should be able to confirm our location at their property using GPS tracking. However, this service relies on mobile signal, if mobile signal is poor, sometimes messages and/or GPS tracking may fail.
Information
It is the owner’s responsibility to provide accurate and up to date information about their pet, their property and their contact details. If any of this information changes, the owner must inform Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd as soon as possible.
Veterinary Care and Bills
The owner must inform Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd of any allergies, injuries and/or illnesses that their pet has had, and must have sought appropriate veterinary treatment before a booking commences. It is essential that pets are registered at a local veterinary practice.
If an animal becomes injured or unwell whilst in the care of Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd, we will endeavour to contact the owner, and may need to take their pet to either their registered vet (preferred) or to an alternative vet (if necessary). The vet may also want to contact the owner, therefore it is essential that contact details are accurate and up to date. It is the owner’s responsibility to pay for any veterinary consultation and necessary treatment costs.
• Vets may sometimes be willing to put the costs on the customer’s account to be settled at a later date (if the customer is already registered with the practice). However, this option may not always be offered, and so should not be relied upon by the customer as a means of payment for veterinary services.
• Vets will more often request payment from the owner upfront, most commonly done by card payment over the phone. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure they are contactable and have an appropriate means of payment in the event of this request.
• If any cost are incurred by Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd, the pet owner will be invoiced, and reimbursement is expected within 28 days.
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd will not be held liable for any sickness, injury or death of a pet in our care. We are insured by Petplan Sanctuary for an event caused by our negligence.
Cross Contamination Risk of Parasites, Bacterial & Viral Infections
Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd offer mobile pet care services, visiting many animals at different properties, and therefore there is a risk of cross contamination of parasites, bacterial and/or viral infections. The owner must inform Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd of any parasites, bacterial and/or viral infections that their pet has had, and must have sought appropriate veterinary treatment before a booking commences. Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd will take precautions to minimise the risk of cross contamination, but will not be held liable for cross contamination of parasites, bacterial and/or viral infections. It is recommended that pets are treated with flea and worm treatment regularly, and that they receive any annual vaccinations deemed appropriate by their registered vet.
Keys & Property
There is no charge for initial key collection, and keys are then stored securely for any future bookings. Customers can request for their stored key to be returned at any time. Alternatively, keys can be returned to the customer after completion of each booking, but there may be a charge for any future key collections. It is the customer’s responsibility give us the correct key, and ensure their property is safe and secure. Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd will not be held liable for any fault with the key, lock or door, or any damage to the customer’s property i.e. burglary, flood or fire. Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd is insured by Petplan Sanctuary for an event caused by our negligence i.e. loss of keys.
Payments
Payment is preferred by Bank Transfer to Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd, HSBC Bank, Sort Code 40-15-20, Account Number 82156903, using the pets name as a reference. Alternatively, customers can leave cash at the property, or pay by card online at www.burtonpets.com.
• Cat & Pet Visits and ad-hoc Dog Walking bookings are invoiced at the time of booking, and payment is expected before the booking commences.
• Regular routine Dog Walking customers that have a weekly schedule, are invoiced at the end of each month, and payment is expected by the 15th of the following month.
Photographs
Photographs of pets may appear on our website and/or other social media, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
A copy of our terms and conditions of service will be given to the customer upon registration, and are also available on our website www.burtonpets.com. We may update our terms and conditions of service at any time, and any updates will be sent to registered customers by email. By booking a service with Burton-On-Trent Pet Services Ltd, you are accepting the terms and conditions of service applicable at the time of the booking.
