I am a proud mom of five children and Gram to two adorable grandsons. Our third grandson is due to arrive in March!

I have 28 years of teaching experience across grade levels and subject areas. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with specializations in Reading and Special Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Literacy Studies. I have Texas teacher certifications in Elementary Reading, Special Education, and English as a Second Language, as well as a Student Services certification as a Reading Specialist.
