What is a makerspace?

"To define a school makerspace by its purpose and simplest of terms, it is a place where young people have an opportunity to explore their own interests; learn to use tools and materials, both physical and virtual; and develop creative projects"

--Laura Flemming Worlds of Making

Who participates in makerspace

Elementary students participate in makerspace once a week, while grades 6 through 12 are offered makerspace as an elective.

Plans for the future.

Open makerspace to the community by hosting monthly evening sessions open to the community.

Expand opportunities for students to participate in makerspace by offering an after-school club.
