GGJ is an international event designed to for kids aged 12-17 to get them into the challenging and rewarding world of game development.
We've got tutors and teachers from the University of Canterbury and Burnside High School to come along and help deliver workshops and support the learning of all our akonga as we take part in this awesome Global Game Jam.
The Event is open to all students - Just make sure you can commit to ALL the workshops before you sign up.
Places are limited so be quick if you don't want to miss out!
Still keen? Wanna talk some buddies into helping? Games are best made together. Teams are usually made up of two or three friends so have a chat with your mates and get them to sign up too!

Where: Len Lye Building at the school of Product Design, University of Canterbury
This workshop will be an opportunity to get help from our expert tutors on any of the online content and awesome software that you'll need to make your game. There will be workshops and a bunch of learning to get you up and running and ready to make your game.
We'll get you in teams if you don't already have one and you can brainstorm ideas around the theme (it's a big secret until then!) and you can start jamin'!!

This workshop will be a chance to get the finish touches on your games with the help of our expert tutors, teachers and experienced game developers.
We'll be testing and promoting our games so we can show off the the rest of the world about how awesome junior kiwi game designer are!
And we'll be posting them to itch.io for the world to play!!
