BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund

About the Burn Fund

The British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is dedicated to supporting child and adult burn survivors through their recovery journeys every step of the way. Through funding for hospital equipment and garments that assist recovery, to home away from home accommodations at the Burn Fund Centre, the Burn Fund provides care to these individuals following a traumatic and life changing event. Prevention is the Burn Fund’s cure, and the organization also leads burn and fire prevention education for children and families across the province of BC and the Yukon.

More than 4,000 professional fire fighters from 53 communities in British Columbia and the Yukon are building the Burn Fund’s vision. They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase public awareness of fire and burn safety issues through the Burn Fund’s research, support and prevention programs.

The Burn Fund is the charitable arm of the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association and was established as a registered charity in 1978.
