Badging in professional development represents a shift in the way we celebrate and recognize adult growth. Rather than representing learning through seat time in a traditional workshop setting, badging acknowledges the attempts and application of new skill(s). With visible evidences, badging also encourages us to recognize the efforts of our colleagues and to know who on our teams we might want to reach out to when we struggle because we know they have accomplished learning in certain areas.
