Coach David:
Coach David has been teaching English at BTHS since 2003. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and he received his Graduate degree in Reading from Wilmington University. He started as assistant Cross Country Coach in 2004 and took over as head coach in 2011. He was an assistant boys' track coach from 2005 to 2019 and head coach since 2020. He also coached indoor track for four seasons.
Coach David is an avid runner and cyclist. In October 2011 he ran the Marine Corps Marathon and finished in a time of 3 hours and 36 minutes, and in November 2012 he ran the Philadelphia Marathon in a time of 3 hours and 34 minutes. He is currently focusing on cycling and other outdoor activities (kayaking and hiking).
Coach Darryl:
Coach Darryl attended college at Glassboro State now known as Rowan University where he continued his track career with Coach Oscar Moore for two years. Coach Darryl currently runs his own insurance company. After college and during is time in the Air Force Reserves, he began his track coaching career with the 9-10 boys group with the Willingboro Track Club in 1992. In 2004 Darryl was approached to start a track program in Burlington Township. That year he became the head coach and founder of the Burlington Township Track Club until 2022. During this time Darryl has taken the members of the track club to compete in meets in New York, North Jersey, Boston, Chicago, Florida, and Canada. In March of 2020, Darryl joined the high school track coaching staff as their sprinters, and field coach.
Coach Ellis:
Coach Ellis competed in track for 9 years starting in middle school through college. He has competed in multiple events through those 9 years including every event in the field, as well as, every event on the track less than the 1600m. Throws are his specialty along with the rest of the field events. While competing for Shawnee High School, coach Ellis was a 2-year captain and 4-ear varsity letterman. He threw javelin in the Meet of Champions and has competed in Penn relays as part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. He also earned two All-Conference first-team nominations and one All-County first-team nomination. At TCNJ Coach Ellis trained primarily as a decathlete and javelin thrower. He was a two-year captain and 2x regional qualifier in the javelin.
