Peace by Piece Event Overview

The Peace by Piece event was a two-hour long session, where students learned the misconception of Islam through various activities such as being taught the various misconceptions through puzzles. 

 Invent2Prevent Going To Washington D.C. 

 Invent2Prevent at BTHS was selected as a finalist by the McCain Institute to present our project's aims of countering the misconceptions of Islam. The club members traveled to D.C. and discussed their findings and the positive effects they had on their community to the Department of Homeland Security. While at D.C., the club members had the opportunity to tour the Capitol building and present their project to Representative Andy Kim.  

 Invent2Prevent Winning 3rd Place

Invent2Prevent would like to thank the superintendent, Mrs. Bell and club advisors, Mrs. Kohart and Mrs. George for their massive amount of commitment to the club. We would also like to thank all the club members for their hard work on the Piece by Peace project and the students who attended the event. Invent2Prevent at Burlington Township High School was awarded 3rd place on their project for countering Islamic stereotypes and misinformation. The students presented their project to representatives of the Department of Homeland Security, under the McCain Institution Competition for countering violence.
