BTSD NJSLA and Standardized Testing

The Burlington Township School District believes in providing our students and families with timely and useful information. This site is dedicated to providing resources to help families understand the NJSLA assessments and other Standardized Testing conducted.

NJDOE Assessment Website for Parents

THE NJDOE HAS PROVIDED RESOURCES FOR PARENTS.

In 2019, the NJDOE introduced the New Jersey Parent Portal where parents/guardians can learn about their children’s performance on the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments for English Language Arts and Mathematics (NJSLA-ELA/M). The New Jersey Parent Portal User Guide has information on how to create an account, log into the account and add claim codes to access student score reports and video of Individual Student Reports (ISRs). The portal will also allow parents/guardians to track their student’s scores from year to year, beginning with the spring 2019 results.

IMPORTANT: You will need the access code that was printed on your child's NJSLA Spring 2019 Report in order to link your child to your parent account.

New Jersey school districts, charter schools and renaissance school projects are required by statute (N.J.S.A. 18A: 7C-6.6) to annually notify parents or guardians by October 1 of any statewide student assessment or commercially developed standardized assessment that will be administered over the course of the school year.

We are pleased to provide you with the testing descriptions and timelines of the standardized tests that will be administered in the Burlington Township School District this year. Please note that the testing window does not mean students will be testing during that entire period of time. This is the time frame in which the testing must be completed. The buildings will be releasing specific testing dates at a later time.
