This program has been designed to help condition and strengthen you as an athlete. Being prepared for the physical (and mental) demands heading into preseason is critical in helping reduce the risk of injuries that commonly occur due to a lack of preparation. The goal of preseason is to focus on field hockey, not to get in shape. You are expected to come into preseason prepped and ready so you can "hold your own" on the field. There are several components to our summer training program, including: summer league, summer practices, and the work you do on your own when no one is watching. Follow the training calendar provided as close as possible and refer to the packet for information.
YOU MUST COME TO PRESEASON IN SHAPE, READY FOR 60 MINUTES OF HOCKEY!

Cardio-Respiratory endurance
Muscular strength
Stick-work skills
