All learning begins at home. It is my goal to facilitate the connection between parents and teachers to provide the well rounded education for our students. My philosophy is to meet each child where they are and assist them to where they need to be. Below I have resources that vary in rigor and purpose. Please take some time to see them below.
Starfall- This is a resource that many students are familiar with. However we have ordered a subscription that will allow students to access sections of the website that would otherwise not be available to them. Contact me if you need the username and password.
Razkids- This is a website for on level reading. Students can choose from a large number of online titles that they can read independently or listen to. For a quick tutorial please watch my How To Video. Please contact me or their classroom teacher for their username and password.
Quizlet- A website for practicing vocabulary.
NJ Bilingual Department- ESL/Bilingual services information.
English For Everyone- Printable worksheets with answer keys!
Starfall- This site is good for learning the alphabet, word families and beginning to learn how to read.
ABCYa- This site is for educational games by grade level.
Shepardsoftware- This site is great for basic vocabulary.
Shepard Software- This site also has a section for grammar. Please take some time to explore it, there are various components.
Children's Library- I really love this resource. It enables children to read books based in their culture. While they move towards learning English they should never disregard their heritage.
