Class Overview
The HVAC program provides students with a solid introduction to the essential systems that control climate and air quality in homes, schools, and businesses. This hands-on program covers the fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, emphasizing both the science behind the technology and the practical skills needed to work in the field.
Students will learn how to safely install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems using industry-standard tools and equipment. The curriculum includes topics such as electrical systems, the refrigeration cycle, airflow principles, ductwork, controls, and energy management. In addition to technical training, the course helps students develop problem-solving skills and attention to detail, critical traits for success in the skilled trades and many other endeavors in life.
