Mi objetivo es crear un ambiente positivo, participativo y solidario en el que los alumnos se sientan cómodos participando y ganen confianza al usar el idioma Español en la vida cotidiana. Como nativa hablante, sé que aprender un segundo lenguaje puede ser retador pero es gratificante al mismo tiempo! Trato a mis alumnos con el respeto que se merecen como jóvenes y les motivo a tomar responsabilidad en su aprendizaje. Enseñaré a mis alumnos la diferencia entre las culturas y acentos en los 21 países hispano hablantes y las riquezas únicas que cada país tiene para ofrecer al mundo de un modo divertido.
My goal is to create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and growing in their confidence using Spanish language. As a native Spanish speaker, I understand that learning a second language can be both challenging and rewarding! I treat my students with the respect they deserve as young adults and encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning. I will teach the students the difference between the hispanic cultures and its unique dialects that each country has to offer to the world in a fun learning environment.
About me
I moved to the United States in 2001 and I am a proud mom of two adults children.
I have a deep passion for travel and have explored several parts of the world, especially Peru in South America, where I am originally from. My love for travel is something I share with my children. My oldest son currently lives in Japan and is a polyglot, and my younger daughter is preparing for her second own adventure abroad this time in Australia.
Teaching my native language in a school setting is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for me. I have worked in public schools for the past 11 years as a paraprofessional, where I have developed a strong commitment to supporting student growth and academic success. This has motivated me to complete my training so I could teach Spanish to young people in a public school.
In addition, I am a freelance Spanish instructor and a certified interpreter in education, special education, and medical settings, with over 13 years of experience assisting parents, staff, and students.
I look forward to working with your children and guiding them in the process of learning a second language. I am dedicated to fostering an appreciation for language learning and helping students recognize its value as an essential part of their educational and personal development.
Me mudé a Estados Unidos en el año 2001 y soy una mamá orgullosa de dos hijos adultos.
Me encanta viajar y he visitado varias partes del mundo, mayormente Perú, en Sudamérica, de donde soy originalmente. Mi pasión por viajar es algo que comparto con mis hijos. Mi hijo mayor vive actualmente en Japón y es políglota, y mi hija menor se está preparando para su segunda aventura en el extranjero, esta vez en Australia.
Enseñar mi lengua materna en el ámbito escolar es una oportunidad significativa y gratificante para mí. He trabajado en escuelas públicas durante los últimos 11 años como asistente docente, donde he desarrollado un fuerte compromiso en el apoyo al crecimiento y el éxito académico de mis alumnos. Eso me motivó a terminar mi formación profesionalmente para poder enseñar español a jóvenes en una escuela pública.
Además, soy Profesora de Español por mi cuenta e Intérprete Certificada en Educación, asi como en Educación Especial y Cerificada para Interpretación Medica. Con más de 13 años de experiencia he ayudado a padres, personal en el ambito educativo y alumnos en las escuela. ¡Me encanta trabajar con la comunidad hispana!
Estaré encantada de trabajar con sus hijos y guiarlos en el proceso de aprendizaje de una segunda lengua. Me dedico a fomentar el aprecio por el aprendizaje de idiomas y a ayudar a los alumnos a reconocer su valor, como parte esencial del desarrollo educativo y personal.
