Academy of Performing Arts Performs at Citizen Naturalization Ceremony
On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Constitution Day, Vocal and Theatre Career Majors from BCIT-Medford performed the National Anthem as part of the Citizen Naturalization Ceremony held at the Historic Olde Courthouse in Mt. Holly, NJ. The performance was greatly appreciated by the new citizens and their families as well as the staff of the Burlington County Municipal Court.

Day in the Life of a Music Major at Rowan University
Instrumental and Vocal Music Majors went to Rowan University on Monday, October 22, 2018 to visit the Music Department, and experienced a day in the life of a college music major. Music Majors attended a conducting course taught by Dr. Joseph Higgins, Director of Bands, and played alongside their college level counterparts. Students also observed courses in music theory, music industry, and learned about the new music therapy program beginning next year. Vocal students were treated to a workshop with Christopher Thomas, Director of Choral Activities. Instrumental students got the chance to play with the Wind Ensemble as they prepared for a concert later in the week. Through this experience, BCIT students have a better idea of what it is like to be a Music Major in college.
