How would you react if your way of life was turned upside down? During trials of war and violence, how does one maintain peace? In Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, we see how one young woman matures during the Iranian Revolution (1979) and the subsequent war. We are reading this graphic novel to enhance our analytical skills while learning about individuals whom are different than ourselves. While learning about the various differences, we will also analyze how we can all relate to one another regardless of religion, upbringing, or geographic location.
