What is a school social worker?
A school social worker is a trained helper at school who supports students and families when life feels stressful or hard. They listen, help students build coping and friendship skills, and work with families and teachers to solve problems that can get in the way of learning. They can also connect families to helpful resources at school and in the community.

About me
My name is Madison Rogers, and I’m the School Social Worker for Mull Elementary and Forest Hill Elementary. I earned my BSW from Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!).
I believe all behavior is a form of communication. I also believe that a simple, caring check-in can make a huge difference in a student’s day. I’m here to partner with families and staff to support student success.
