Welcome to Patton Choirs!
I've been teaching choir since 2012, and one of my favorite things about this job is watching students discover what they're capable of. There's nothing quite like hearing a group of students take a piece of music from those first few uncertain notes to a performance they can truly be proud of.
I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with students at all levels, from those singing in a choir for the very first time to students preparing for honor choirs, festivals, and advanced performances.
Along with teaching choir, I teach theatre and direct musical productions. I've always loved the performing arts, and I enjoy helping students find their place, whether that's singing on stage, acting in a production, or discovering a talent they didn't know they had.
In my classroom, we work hard, challenge ourselves, and take pride in the music we make. But we also laugh, build friendships, and learn how to support one another. I want every student who walks through my door to know they belong and that their contribution matters.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. Music and theatre are a big part of my life, but my family is always at the center of it.
Whether you're already part of Patton Choirs or thinking about joining us, I'm glad you're here. I look forward to making music with you!
