Welcome to my web page. I'm thankful and excited for the opportunity to help your student with their educational journey in the 2025-2026 school year. This is my eighteenth year here at Burkburnett High School and eleventh year teaching Advanced Placement courses. Actually, this is my second career. Prior to coming to Burkburnett, I proudly served 26 years with the US Air Force, and completed my career at Sheppard AFB.
I am married to the lovely Natalie Sanders. We have a lot in common, as we are both teachers with Burkburnett ISD, AF veterans, and we served in Operation Desert Storm 1991. We have two daughters, Erina and Marah. Erina, the oldest, graduated from James Madison University, and lives and works in New York City. Marah, a 2017 BHS graduate, completed a Computer Science degree at Vernon College, and currently lives and works in Wichita Falls.
Natalie and I are avid golfers and play whenever time allows. Often, that means from within the trees, sand, deep grass, and occasionally even from the fairway.
Having lived and traveled in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, we've developed a bit of a wanderlust. Each summer we try to go someplace new and interesting. Recent trips included St. Maarten and Aruba, in the Caribbean, and exploring the Northeastern United States and Quebec City in Canada. During the summer of 2019 and 2021, we communed with nature and hiked the Colorado Rockies!!
