Classes:

Hello, and welcome to my website.  I have been teaching for 21 years with the last 13 at BHS.  I have been lucky enough to work in different industries and fields other than education.  I try to bring that experience into the class room to make a more authentic learning experience for the students. I began my teaching career as a mathematics teacher and during my time at BHS, I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus.  Seven years ago, BHS added Engineering to the CTE department, and I was lucky enough to be chosen to head that program.  This year I am teaching four engineering classes: Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, and Aerospace Engineering.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Midwestern State University and earned a Texas Teacher's Certification and later a Master in Education from Wayland Baptist University.  I also hold certifications from PLTW for Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics,  and Aerospace Engineering.  My family has lived in Burkburnett for 14 years.  My wife, Jennifer, is a Speech Language Pathologist.  I have two daughters that are BHS graduates.  When I am not in the classroom, you can find me involved with my family's activities or enjoying my hobby of playing music.
