Hello! I'm Ms. Wallace! I teach both advanced and general- ed sections of 8th grade U.S. History from the founding of Jamestown to the end of the Reconstruction (1607-1877).

Important notes about my classroom:
As an 8th grade teacher, one of my priorities is to help prepare students for high school and beyond! With that in mind, I cultivate a classroom culture that encourages engagement, participation, self-regulation, hard work and fun! We don't give up when things get hard, we develop the grit to push through! I look forward to partnering with families to help all students to be successful in the classroom!

Please make an appointment in advance by messaging in Rooms so that I can ensure that I can take your call. We are often in meetings during our conference. You are also welcome to email me anytime my goal is to respond to all emails in a timely manner. Grades are updated weekly , usually on Wednesdays. If a student turns in an assignment late, it will be graded in the next week's batch.

Daily Board: This slide show will be visible on the board everyday to inform students. Students should check the daily board if they have been absent to see what they missed. The slides are updated daily and it is always available to them through their class's google classroom.
Assignment Tracker: This spreadsheet lists all graded assignments to help students and parents stay on track.
Syllabus: The syllabus includes info about the campus grading policy and other important details.
Units of Study: This lists the units we will study in class includng a brief description of learning goals for the unit. All standards and units posted are in accordance with the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
