Grading Policies:

Grading Periods

○ Minimum of 6 minor/daily/quizzes grades per grading period (50%)

○ Minimum of 2 major grades per grading period (50%)

■ Minimum of 8 grades per grading period

○ Grades entered weekly in Skyward

○ Extra credit must be academic in nature - not incentive based for bringing

supplies, etc.

Late Work

○ Late work can be turned in, IF that specific unit of instruction has not been

assessed

○ All late work must be submitted prior to Progress Report grades - no late work

accepted after Progress Report grades submitted for first 3 weeks of grading

period

○ Excludes all students with extended time (must follow ARD/504 paperwork)

○ Progressive late work acceptance policy to build for high school

■ 7th grade - 4 days late

○ Class guidelines will determine the penalty for late assignments.

○ Only school days can be counted as days late (weekends, holidays do not count)

Absent / Makeup Work

○ Students must be given the number of days to makeup work as they were absent

(EX: Absent 3 days, students given 3 school days to make up work without

penalty)
