Aug. 25 BAND PARENTS BMS Band Parent Fall Meeting 6 PM in the MS Band Hall.  Please come through the side gate on College Street.

Aug. 27 BAND PARENTS Instrument Drive from 5-7 PM in the MS Band Hall. This is a come & go event for students still in need of an instrument/supplies

🎯 Course Description

Beginner Band is designed for students with little to no prior experience on a band instrument. Students will learn fundamental music skills, instrument care, and ensemble performance techniques.

📘 Learning Objectives (Aligned with Texas TEKS)

Students will:

• Demonstrate proper posture, breathing, and tone production.

• Read and interpret standard music notation.

• Perform grade-appropriate music individually and in groups.

• Develop listening skills and musical expression.

• Participate in public performances and rehearsals.

🎵 Expectations

• Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory.

• Students must wear appropriate concert attire (4 B’s or designated uniform) for scheduled events.

• Respectful behavior and teamwork are essential.

Parents are highly encouraged to attend meetings and support our young musicians.
