My Name is Amanda Narconis. I am married to a retired USAF Vet. We have two children; Anastasia and Isaac. Our house is usually busy with 3 fluffy dogs running about, musical instruments being played and sports being practiced!
I earned my BS in Early Childhood Education from Colby-Sawyer College graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1993 and immediately began teaching. I soon added a Special Education Certificate from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I am also certified to teach ESL. Over the years I have taken a wide variety of continuing professional education classes through Kansas University, Seattle Pacific University, Region 9 Education Center, The Academy for Teachers of Young Children, and district professional development. I have lived and taught in Vermont, New Hampshire, Georgia, Kansas, Washington, and Texas.
This year our class will develop social skills, increased language skills, and pre-academic skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. I strive to create a loving, fun environment where all students feel safe and cared for while exploring and learning to take the risk of trying and learning new things.
When I am not teaching or busy with my own children, I love to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book. I also love to spend time with my kids watching movies, or work in my garden. My favorite color is blue, and my favorite treat is dark chocolate.
