Layer Burgers: Building Digital Art One Layer at a Time

In this delicious introduction to digital art, students explored one of Procreate’s most important features: layers! Using a hamburger as their subject, students created individual ingredients on separate layers, stacking buns, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and patties to build their masterpieces.

Through this activity, students practiced organizing, arranging, and editing layers while discovering how digital artists combine individual elements to create a complete illustration.

The goal? To understand that every great digital masterpiece is built one layer at a time!
