The second grade team will be using the program Seesaw with our students this fall. This program allows students to complete their work digitally and create a portfolio of what they have done. As a team we have created many exciting and interactive lessons we cannot wait to use to teach your students.
While we know some students used this program in first grade, either with their classroom teacher or during NTI, we wanted to share a few activities this summer that would allow students to try out the program and its features. Seesaw is great in that it can be accessed on any device through the computer browser, but then also has both a free apple and android app.
Parents, another awesome feature of Seesaw, is that you can create a parent account and have access to see what work your student has completed and leave them feedback just as we do as their teacher!
We have linked tutorials for all of the steps from getting signed in and connected to accounts to working through some of the activities. They are only a few minutes each and I encourage you to watch them with your student to learn about the program too!
If you have questions about Seesaw or are having any issues with the program, please email your students teacher.
