I played trumpet in band and got a scholarship to attend the University of Louisville.  I earned my bachelors and masters in music education, both from UofL. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have taught at Cedar Grove Elementary since 2005.

My husband and I met playing trumpet in high school band. We have 3 children -Leah, Landon, and Luke. We have 2 cats named Zoe and Batman. 

Although I majored in trumpet in college, the ukulele is my current passion. In my spare time, I enjoy anything creative. I love painting and making arts and crafts. I also enjoy decorating cakes for birthdays and weddings. Recently, I have taken up crochet.
