Library Policies

Check out Policies

• Students in grades 1-5 may have 2 books checked out at a time for a 2-week time period.  Kindergarten students may check out 1 book.

• Kindergarten students choose from a selection of Everybody books placed on a table ( approx 30 - 40 books).

• First grade students choose from any books in the Everybody Section.

• Second - fifth graders may choose from any books in the Everybody, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Biography sections.

• Third - fifth graders may check out Playaways with a permission form signed by a parent. The accompanying book must also be checked out.

Overdue Policies

• Students with overdue books may not check out until the overdue book is returned.

• Students with missing or damaged books may not check out until the replacement fine is paid or worked off.

• Students have to option to use free classtime to work off the fine that they owe.  This must be with the permission of the classroom teacher.
