Meet the Counselor!

Hi!  I am Lauren Manion and I am the school counselor at Crossroads Elementary! 

The start of the 2023-2024 school year begins my nineteenth year in education.  Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked as a teacher serving students in both first and fourth grades.  For the last fourteen years, I have worked as a school counselor.  My last twelve years have been working with the students here at Crossroads Elementary!  I attended Western Kentucky University to earn my bachelor's degree in elementary education.  I also earned my Master's and Rank I certification from WKU in professional school counseling.  Go Hilltoppers!!!

My main priority as the school counselor is assisting students in reaching their fullest potential.  To help students with their personal growth, I will provide Crossroads students opportunities to participate in individual and group counseling, as well as classroom character education lessons.  If you have a student that could benefit from one of our counseling programs, feel free to contact me. 

On a personal note, I am married to my husband, Mr. Manion, who is also an educator in Bullitt County.  We have two children, Adelyn (10) and Isaac (7) who keep us laughing and busy.  We also have two fur babies - a cat named Cookie and a mini- golden retriever named Daisy.  We enjoy watching movies, being outdoors, and spending time with our friends and family.
