About Your Teachers
Michelle Yocum
Welcome to a new and exciting school year! I am looking forward to a happy and productive year.
My interest in learning and human development led me to the University of Louisville from 1992-1996, first earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and then a Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching. Since graduation in 1997, I have taught in both Bullitt and Jefferson Counties, teaching primarily 5th grade. I enjoy teaching very much and look forward to working with you and your child this school year.

Welcome to an adventurous year! I am looking forward to an exciting year full of discovery, learning, and growing.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Louisville, I began working with children in grades Pre-K through third. Working in the school setting guided me to return to school for a degree in education. I received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Spalding University.
While I have been educating children since 1992, my teaching career began in 1997. My experience ranges from Kindergarten through fifth grades. I have truly enjoyed each grade level.
It is an honor to work with your most precious gift, your child!

Welcome 5th Grade! I am so excited to be working with my friends again! My job is an Instructional Tutor - support for the teachers and especially students.
After being a classroom teacher in JCPS for many years (with Ms. Yocum, lol) I took time to be with my family. Now I am here to assist you if you need me. I will be working in small groups to help you with your Math, Reading, Writing and Social Studies.
I am married with 2 dogs, 3 kids, and 3 grandkids. I love to read, UL, go to Nascar races, hike, camping, and spending time with my family.
I am so looking forward to working with you and your parents again this year!
