Hi! My name is Beth Caswell, and I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade this fall! This is year 17 for me, all at MWES!

I completed my undergrad and graduate work at The University of the Louisville.

A little about me - I grew up in Mt. Washington and am a graduate of Bullitt East High School. My husband, David, and I have three kids, Reece (14), Rae (12), and Jameson (9). 

Hi! My name is Alicia Meredith, and I am thrilled to be a part of the fifth-grade team! I was a guest teacher at MWES from 2020-2022 and was the intermediate interventionist during the 2022-23 school year.

I completed my undergrad at University of the Cumberlands and am working toward my Master's in Gifted Education at Western Kentucky University. 

A little about me - I grew up in Shepherdsville and moved to Mount Washington 15 years ago. My husband, Josh, and I have two sons, Atticus (10) and Broderick (8). Our family loves being a part of the MWES community and calling Mount Washington our home.

Hi!

My name is Beth Russell and I am a 5th grade teacher. This is my 10th year teaching and 8th year at MWES. This is my second year teaching 5th grade at MWES. 

I am married to my husband Brandon. We have 2 kids Colton (5) and Blakely (3).We also have a chocolate lab named Dixie.  I love going to the beach and the zoo. I enjoy watching sports and cheering on UK and the Falcons.

Hello! 

I am so excited to be your child’s 5th grade teacher this year. I feel truly lucky to do a job that I am so passionate about.  I was raised in Mt. Washington and attended Mt. Washington Elementary, Mt. Washington Middle, and Bullitt East High School. I will have been married to my husband, Jeff for 15 years this September. We have 2 beautiful girls, Izzie {13} who is an eighth grader at Eastside Middle and Adalynn {2} who is always on the go.  We love cheering on UofL Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Phillies!

This is my eighth year teaching and my 5th year here at MWES. I am also our school's Access 24 Coordinator {I take repair orders for the school's chromebooks.}

My promise is to provide a positive learning environment, where all students feel safe and comfortable. I am thrilled to work with your child this year. I hope your entire family enjoys all there is to explore in 5th grade. I have a very strong belief that if we work togehter, we can all be successful.
