During School Closures
During School Closures
Most of our social standards have been covered already! During 6th grade, we cover:
- Mesopotamia and River Valleys - Tigris & Euphrates, Indus, Yellow, and Nile
- Ancient Egypt
- Ancient Greece
- Ancient Rome
- Ancient Persia
- Ancient China
- Major World Religions
- African Kingdoms
- Middle Ages
- Ancient India
- The Renaissance
- The Reformation
- The Enlightenment
There are a lot of topics listed above, so during this time, it would be great to watch documentaries on these topics, read books, find articles, and just explore the topics your student is interested in! If they are interested in something other than what's listed, encourage them to explore it! This is the time to allow them to explore interests other than what we offer at school.
