BBF Chittenden - Substance Use Disorder Project

Making the Systems Work for Families

A Collective Impact Project of Building Bright Futures - Serving Vermont's Chittenden and Grand Isle Regions

Project Vision

We believe that the severity and complexity of impact that substance use disorders are having

on children and families in our community is significant and requires a coordinated continuum of care

and services that include promotion, prevention, treatment and recovery.

Goal 1 - Community of Practice

Convene monthly Community of Practice Meetings to break down silos and work together to develop and move forward with annual strategies and action steps.

Goal 2 - Parenting Groups

Promote community based parent and caregiver support programs that align with the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework.

Goal 3 - Child Care Connections

Connect families to Child Care Resource (CCR) and promote their role as regional child care navigators.

Goal 4 - Trainings

Develop training opportunities for family based professionals to come together to build family-centered and multi-generational systems of support.

Goal 5 - Family Engagement

Work across settings, to capture the true needs of caretakers and children, and ensure that the family voice is at the center of informing our work.

Goal 6 - Communication and Outreach
