When I first heard about this Operation Holiday Child, I was a little confused in my head and asked myself, "Is it only about collecting shoe boxes and toys?" But no, it is so much more. Through Operation Holiday Child I learned about all the people that this charity helps; children all around the world in 3rd world countries. They can smile knowing that out there, people care for them and send presents for that special day. During the one month drive we collected toys, stuffed animals, books, school supplies, hygiene supplies, and of course shoeboxes asking not only students but also teachers to donate. We received many donations from the school and this Monday Student Council packed boxes which you can see down below. Then, on Wednesday I personally dropped off the packages and got to talk to some of the volunteers. They are very passionate about this project saying that they "Can't wait to see you next year!"
