Bridges:
• Work with district to determine classes needed for each student and duration.
• Register students into all classes.
• Send Welcome Email with all login information, program guidelines and guardian accounts.
• Upload IEP’s, GIEP’s, 504’s into system with Modification Forms for classes.
• Send Final Grades to school district.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and help students schedule tutoring.
Students
Grades K-5 will be enrolled into 6 courses (4 core subjects and 2 specials).
When students login to Live Lessons, they are also required to submit their coursework for that day.
Calvert Learning curriculum is built using the research-based PLUS framework
Project
Projects are embedded throughout Calvert courses to give students opportunities to apply what they have learned to real-world situations and develop creative problem-solving skills. Students kick off the unit with a project and revisit it as they learn new skills.
Learn
Courses contain a variety of active learning activities that encourage students to think independently and that formatively assess understanding.
Use
Students complete mastery assessments at the end of each lesson to ensure that they can use what they have learned and can demonstrate their readiness for the next step.
Show
At the end of the unit, students bring all the new concepts they have mastered together to complete the unit project and showcase their learning.
Grades 6-12
Understand the expectations for success.
Attend courses as agreed upon.
Demonstrate time management skills.
Take good notes.
Communicate with the virtual teacher.
Attend study hall or other small-group sessions.
Ask the teacher, on-demand tutor, or school for help.

School Districts
• Gather student demographic information and courses needed.
• Relay grades from Student Programming Assistant to the district for report cards.
• Determine truancy based on district regulations.
• Relay information regarding PSSA’s and Keystones to parents
• First line of communication with parent and student questions.
• Maintain responsibility for Special Education Services and collaborate with Bucks IU to meet any special education needs through content modifications and accommodations directly within the learning management system.
• Provide technology to students, as needed
