The volunteer fire service is evolving — and we need your help more than ever.
Today’s fast-paced lifestyles, family commitments, and professional demands have made it harder for individuals to volunteer like they used to. But the need remains the same: our community depends on dedicated people who are willing to step up.
If you have a sense of adventure, a desire to serve, and a bit of free time, we invite you to consider joining the Trumbauersville Fire Company. We welcome both men and women to fill a variety of important roles — whether on the front lines or behind the scenes.
We offer several membership paths to match your interests, skills, and availability:
(Ages 18 and up)
Respond to fire calls, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergencies. Senior firefighters also participate in fundraising events, serve on committees, and are eligible for leadership positions within the company. Full training and protective equipment are provided.
(Ages 14–17)
Learn alongside senior members while following all safety and legal guidelines under Pennsylvania's Junior Emergency Service Program. Junior firefighters assist with non-hazardous tasks, respond to emergency calls, and help out at community events and fundraisers. Full training and protective equipment are provided.
Special Member
(Ages 14 and up)
An individual who is an active senior or junior member with another fire company and lives outside our coverage area; who wishes to assist our fire company when they are within our coverage area. They are not eligible to hold an elected position.
(Ages 18 and up)
Support emergency operations by directing traffic and ensuring scene safety during incidents, special events, and fundraisers. Fire Police members also participate in fundraising events, serve on committees, and are eligible for leadership positions within the company. Full training and protective equipment are provided.
(Ages 14 and up)
EMS members support medical emergencies and assist with events. Youth members follow all child labor laws and program guidelines. EMS members also participate in fundraising events, serve on committees, and are eligible for leadership positions within the company. Full training and protective equipment are provided.
(Ages 14 and up)
Not interested in fire or EMS response? No problem — there are many ways to serve! Participating members play a vital role in keeping the fire company running smoothly.
You can:
Help with fundraising events
Assist with community outreach and public education
Serve on planning and support committees
Contribute your skills in areas like finance, event planning, marketing, or technology
Even hold an elected executive position within the organization
This is a great opportunity for teens, adults, and retirees who want to make a difference without being on the front lines.
Members who dedicate 20 years of active service become Life Members — a status that reflects long-term commitment and deep community impact. It’s something to be proud of and work toward.
No matter your background or experience, there’s a place for you at the Trumbauersville Fire Company. Join us — and help make a difference in your community today.
