  • Our recent collaborative work with researchers from USD, SU, UC, and RIT work has been published (2021) on Frontiers in Physics!

  • Gurmessa lab officially started functioning @ Bucknell, August 2020, following the opening of the campus lockdown due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The new lab, New start!  

  • Gurmessa gave a snap talk in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Bucknell University,  April 2020.

  • Our new IX73 fluorescence microscope (Olympus, Melville, NY), a 1064 nm Nd: YAG fiber laser (BKtel, RPMC Lasers, Inc), a position-sensing detector (PSM2-10Q PSD module) along with amplifier OT-301 (ON-TRAK Photonics, Inc) have arrived and ready to be unpacked and assembled! (March 2020). 

Gurmessa arrived at  Bucknell to build his independent lab (August 2019)
