About Mrs. Routh

Buckeye

I started teaching at Buckeye in 2013 and absolutely love being part of the Buckeye family. I am very lucky to work with and teach amazing individuals. I love doing what I do everyday, and am always looking for ways to improve as an educator.

I started teaching third grade my first year at Buckeye in 2013. Then I taught fifth grade for five years. This will be my fourth year teaching first grade. I always strive to create a classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and growing. First grade is such a magical year!

Background

I grew up in the Sacramento area for the majority of my life, not far from Shingle Springs. I even went to Rescue Elementary School for a couple years before moving to Orangevale/Fair Oaks. After graduating High School, I went to college to get my bachelor's degree and teaching credential. I went to California State University Monterey Bay and lived in the area for five years. Go otters!

Hobbies & Interests

Growing up I tried many different sports and activities including soccer, softball, acting, gymnastics, and snow skiing. I am still a big fan of skiing and try to take as many trips to the snow as possible. I love to read and spend time with my friends and family. We often get together for dinner, movies, and weekend vacations. I spend a lot of time with my husband, Nick, and our dogs, Bolt and Dash. When we are not spending time at our home, we love to go to concerts, explore new things, and travel. One of my ultimate favorite things to do is travel to new places.
