Which classes count?
ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish & Mandarin
All other classes do NOT count
Are volunteer hours required?
Not for CJSF membership, BUT to participate in CJSF field trips and recognition events, 2 service hours are required per trimester
Where can I do volunteer hours?
On Campus - we need verification from whomever you did volunteer hours for. They can send you an email or give you a letter. You will attach it to your application.
Campus Cleanup - Screenshot the Campus Cleanup Attendance sheet from Classwork.
Off campus - we need an official letterhead from wherever you volunteered stating what you did, the hours you volunteered, and the dates. This is important!
How do I count the points for the application?
For each class that counts, an A is 3 points, a B is 1 point, a C is 0 points.
D or F in ANY subject (even those that don't count) disqualifies you.
You must have double the points as classes.
Example: 4 classes must be at least 8 points. ELA B, Math B, Science A, & History A would equal 8 points.
If I want to volunteer on campus, what are my options?
Campus Cleanup happens weekly. Dates are posted on the website and in the student and parent bulletins.

How do I turn in my application?

When will I know if I am in?
A list of students who qualified will be posted in the CJSF Google Classroom about a week after the application deadline
Can I turn in my application late?
No - your application must be turned in no later than the deadline
Do I have to apply more than once?
YES! You have to apply every trimester.
