Hello! I am new to the 6th grade team at Valley View this year and am really looking forward to meeting and working with everyone :) I have previously taught 7th and 8th grade Math as well as Algebra at the Middle School level. I live in Placerville with my husband, Rob, and we have two kids - Nick and Hayley, both of whom graduated from El Dorado High School. Nick is now a junior at UCLA (which is also my alma mater - Go Bruins!) and we are looking forward to sending Hayley off to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this fall. Fun times!! I enjoy spending time with my family skiing, hiking, reading and travelling. We love going up to Lake Tahoe and also road-tripping to the beach! I look forward to getting to know my students and helping them transition successfully to middle school - it's going to be a great year!
Hi! I'm so looking forward to this 2020-21 school year! This will be my seventh year as a teacher, and my fourth year as a sixth grade teacher, specifically. My favorite people in the whole world are my husband, Brandon, and my toddler son, Nathan, aka, Nate Dogg. I'm a USC Trojan which is where I earned my bachelor's in English. I then earned my multiple subject credential and single subject English supplementary credential from San Jose State, and my Master's of Science in Educational Technology from Cal State Fullerton. If I have a spare moment for myself, you'll find my face in a book. During my previous 7 years of teaching, I have always believed that learning should be an enjoyable process that leaves you exhausted in all the best ways. That's what this year will be like. Get ready for a great year!
Hello!! I am very excited for this school year!! This is my 15th year in Buckeye district. I grew up in Sacramento and attended Sac State. I have lived in El Dorado Hills for 12 years now and enjoy spending time with my husband, Brian, and our 2 boys, Eric and Alex. I'm sure you will see many pictures of them!! I like to hang out with my friends, as well as doing crafty things like sewing, jewelry making and projects around my house. You will probably see me around town having dinner or dessert at Yogaberry at Town Center. I can't wait to meet all of you!!
Hola, Valley View Charter students and families! I am very excited to be joining the middle school team for the 2020-2021 school year! I feel honored to be able to teach something I am very passionate about - Spanish! I have prior experience as a classroom teacher, a home visiting bilingual teacher and a bilingual para-educator working with English language learners. I have lived in El Dorado County since 1997 and look forward to teaching in my own community. I have a husband and two kids, love mountain bike riding, reading, and cooking. I look forward to meeting all of you in the near future and having a fabulous 20/21 school year! Hasta pronto! (See you soon!)
Hello! I am new to VVCM this year and very excited to get started. Growing up, I had always dreamed of being a music teacher and I am so happy to be starting my third year of doing exactly that. I started playing music in Mexico when I was six years old. I play the french horn and the piano and am very passionate about teamwork and collaboration. I have lived in many different places, but I definitely have enjoyed being in Sacramento, where I went to school and completed both my bachelor's degree in music education and my master's degree in conducting. Although music is a big part of my life, I also enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and exploring. I'm looking forward to making music with you this year!
Hello, I am so excited to be back at Valley View! Some of you might remember me as your Elementary PE Teacher! This will be my 15th year teaching! I grew up in Grass Valley and then moved to Turlock where I went to college and graduated from CSU Stanislaus. I moved to Cameron Park 7 years ago and have enjoyed being back in the mountains. I have taught various subjects including Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 5th, Elementary PE, and High school PE but this will be my first experience teaching Middle school PE! When I am not busy teaching you will find me with my wonderful family including my amazing husband of 11 years Jose and our two children Julia who is 3 and Jaxon who is 1. My husband happens to be a Middle School PE teacher also! We enjoy doing many things together as a family including going on bike rides, going to the beach and mountains. We are a very active family so it will be hard to catch us because we are always on the go doing a new activity or sport. I am so excited to meet all of you and also to see some familiar faces!
