Homework

We will be working hard each day in the classroom. Research is showing that homework in elementary school is not as beneficial as once thought. As a result, no formal homework will be assigned apart from an expected 20 minutes minimum of reading each night and practicing your multiplication facts. However, any unfinished classwork will be sent home as "homework" to be turned in the following day. Instead, I ask that your homework be to spend time with your family, play outside, go to bed on time, be a kid!

If you would like additional resources for your child to do at home, you can sign up for a monthly optional homework packet. There is no consequence for not finishing this. You can also go to the "Resources" tab to have your child practice some things at home. I may also recommend extra practice during conference time if I feel it may assist your child's academic growth.
